Our Club Afffiliations

Almost 10 years of history:

Our association, type law 1901, « Sud Vélo Don't throw it away» created ; on September 2, 2016, on the other hand, its history, its positioning, its motivations, its reception, its ambitions and affiliates with; three federations: the delegatee FFC and the affiliates FFCT and FSGT.

These three affiliations aim to offer; its graduates of all levels in competition and/or leisure, all cycling activities: Road cycling, cyclo-cross, track and mountain biking. We combine cycling for both men and women from 4 to 4 years old. 77 years old!

All our cyclists are driven by an idea, a logo, a conviction: We must stop throwing waste on the road! We are therefore united around a Logo: “Don’t throw away anymore”!

The French delegated cycling federation FFC includes two types of licensees:

=> The Team: constituted of experienced Elite runners and young runners only living in the LR region! They are “looking for their best Levels” about the races in category 1, 2, 3, J without necessarily looking to “Do the race that will fill their shelves”. At the start of the year, we set up a calendar of tests with the dates of Internships depending on constraints, Studies, Work, School Holidays, etc... This calendar is included in the general program of the club. The members concerned take their license according to their category. The club participates financially in transfers, licenses, outfits, travel, commitments, etc... Depending on the motivation and involvement of each of its runners. This year, we are lucky enough to welcome Irish runners: The “Gang of the Irish””!

=> The Cyclosportifs: This group, made up of good level runners but also Cyclos who want to test themselves by putting a bib on the jersey in Cyclosport mode. At the start of the year, we set up a calendar of events where the club will go first. This calendar is included in the general program of the club. This year, on the program, the local cyclosportives (34 – 30), the NYCF Ventoux, the three “Haute Routes”… Not to mention these major objectives. The members concerned obtain their license from this federation. The club participates financially in part in these “Club goals”. It was with this group that the club began. around a core of friends, who founded the club, but also its values, its motto “Don't Throw Anymore”. The majority of members are still licensed in the cyclo family.

FFCT, French Federation of Cyclo Tourism, manages the practice of leisure and tourism in France. by bike or by car Mountain biking by offering its 120,000 members offer a wide range of activities combining tourism, sport-health and sports. and culture with the exception of competition.

Without competition does not mean without performance because some group members think about their performance. both for pleasure and for the “good food ” while others also combine extreme effort with the Brevets Randonneur Cyclo-Montagnards (BRA, etc.) and the Audax patent (Bordeaux Paris, Paris Bret Paris, etc...)

The members concerned obtain their license from this federation. It allows them to benefit from the advantages of the FFCT and to participate in all activities organized by the FFCT. At the start of the year the cycle tourism section offers a calendar of cycle touring hikes, mainly organized by clubs in the region (Pro Tour Héraultais) but also on the Audax: 200, 300 , 400, 600, 1000, 1200 kilometers.

Certain objectives of this calendar are part of the general program of the club, these are then supported financially, in part, by the club.

We organize our Brevet / Cycling Hike “La Royal Camarguaise, every 1st Sunday in March under the aegis of the FFCT!

FSGT=> Labor Sports and Gymnastics Federation:

This federation, multi-sporting activities and in its Road Cycling section, very dynamic in the departments of Gard and Hérault. It offers around twenty races per year. those who love competitive cycling: Races, CLM, Gentlemen, cyclosportives,...

The members concerned obtain their license from this federation. It also allows them to participate in all other FSGT activities, particularly in Hérault: Volleyball, P&etanques, Chess, Gymnastics, Judo and hiking.

At the start of the year, the Cyclosport section offers the office a calendar of events where the club will take priority. This calendar is included in the general program of the club.

These Objectives are financed all or in part by the club.

We organize our Race “Le Tour de l’Hortus”, every last Sunday in February under the aegis of the FSGT!

Note that this year, the FSGT 34 will organize the National Road Cycling Championship on July 4 and 5!

In summary: Currently the riders of Team Elite ensure the club's reputation thanks to their reputation. their results: Best FFC club 2015 (Win in the Regional CycloCorss Championship, Senior Road and Espoirs!), while the cyclos vouch for a family tradition within the association.

All this while keeping the spirit “Don't throw away anymore” in our bowels.

We all meet at the “Club” weekend (Rhythm on Saturday and Cool on Sunday) but also during the week (for the lucky ones!) where we discover the country from the Sea to the Cevennes via our dear Pic St Loup!
